Title: Veterinary Pathologist
Gorilla Doctor Since: 1986
Favorite Part of the Job: Discovering new diseases and elucidating patterns and impact of known disease so that we can better manage gorilla health (plus interacting with students and colleagues involved in Gorilla Doctors!)
Memorable Moment: Visiting the gorillas in person after nearly 20 years of only seeing formalin-fixed tissues, peering at those tissues under the microscope and trying to piece together their life histories and causes of death.
