Title: Regional Molecular Laboratory Manager
Gorilla Doctor Since: 2014
Motivation for Joining the Team: As I approached the completion of my undergraduate degree in veterinary medicine, the Gorilla Doctors visited our university. Learning about their mission deeply inspired me, sparking my interest in conservation medicine and particularly great ape medicine. I was eager to be part of a team dedicated to saving endangered gorillas through veterinary care.
Most Proud of: I was part of the team that established the Gorilla Doctors Michael Cranfield Regional One Health Laboratory. I helped develop and adopt laboratory assays that have improved gorilla diagnostics and research.
Favorite Animal/s (besides gorillas of course): Bats are my other favorite animals because of their species diversity and interesting biology.
