Q: What is MGVP, Inc.?

A: The Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project (MGVP, Inc.) is our U.S. based 501c3 not-for-profit organization, Tax ID: 06-1752363. In 2009, MGVP, Inc. partnered with the Karen C. Drayer Wildlife Health Center at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine. Working together, we are Gorilla Doctors.

Q: Can I volunteer with you?

A: Thank you for your interest. We accept inquiries from qualified professionals volunteering to conduct in-person or remote training on veterinary medicine or relevant scientific specialties. Out of our commitment to local capacity strengthening, we do not consider volunteer or internship inquiries from anyone outside of DR Congo, Rwanda or Uganda at this time.
